It’s decisions like this that start the cascade of easy weight loss.
As I often say to my patients, it’s about a lifestyle change. If people are able to make gradual change often (in a way that does not freak out their brain) not only is weight loss inevitable but also easy, safe, and sustainable.

This a very interesting article. I have had an issue with my boyfriend. He is putting on a lot of weight. I have tried to talk to him about this but he has proved to be stubborn. Can you help me advice him on how he can loose weight because he claims that it is genetic?

One sure way of determining if it is genetic or not is to count calories every day for a week. If your calorie intake is below your basal metabolic rate and he is still gaining or maintaining his stubborn weight, then it may well be some type of medical condition. Very often it is not medical. I think the most important is the habit, and also if we have the will to do it I think we are going to achieve. I am doing exercise at 8:00 pm every day
